Hello! My name is Charmien Lucas, and I am a licensed professional teacher. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. At present, I am taking up a Master of Arts in Education with a major in English. I also have TEFL and TESOL certifications. During the past years, I have acquired comprehensive knowledge and skills about creating and facilitating effective teaching and learning environments for students. I have been teaching children in the classroom setting since 2014. I also teach adults online regarding various topics such as traveling, exam preparation, using English for specific purposes, preparing for a job interview, using English at work, or improving fluency in speaking. Teaching is my vocation. For me, it involves not only training the minds of learners but also touching their hearts and transforming their lives. I believe that by sharing my knowledge and skills, I could help learners realize their worth and potential and achieve their dreams. which could mean more job opportunities, access to more esteemed universities, and achieving more confidence. To all of my potential students out there, let’s have a lot of fun and meaningful learning together. I hope to see you in my class soon.

When it comes to my teaching approach, I tailor it according to the learner’s level, needs, and goals because every learner is unique. The teacher then should not use a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, the teacher should understand each learner and create multiple pathways for meaningful and engaging learning to meet their needs and help them develop holistically. But one thing is constant, I give my 100% in each class.
