I like to think of myself as a language coach for my students because I adapt based upon the student's language level, needs, and interests. The most rewarding part of this work is that I get to help people develop their skills, and along the way they often teach me a lot as well! I have taught online for three years and have spent thousands of hours helping English learners just like you. Many of my students describe me as patient, friendly, and easy to understand.

I enjoy fun lessons that allow students to share their ideas and experiences in a real-life way. I find it exciting to see a student gain confidence using English. In my lessons I point out the GOOD things students say as well as offering help when a mistake occurs. I love it when a new grammar point helps a student express his/her ideas clearly, when a student is excited by an interesting idiom, or when a student uses new vocabulary to make a joke. My previous students have described me as warm and friendly, a good listener, and great for intermediate students. I was trained in the communicative method and focus heavily on interaction to promote language skills in all types of situations. I view myself as a facilitator of authentic conversation. Lesson materials can be customized depending on the student's level and wishes. When possible I like to use authentic material/texts, but I am comfortable with a variety of material as well as structured conversation with corrections.
