Hello, I am a certified teacher from my home country having pursued my Masters in Education. Students like my lessons because I tailor my lessons and lesson plans to their specific needs. I have been in Japan for a long time and understand how Japanese students of English learn because I myself am learning the language so I know the struggles and the feeling. I basically cater to students' needs. I can be strict if students want me to immediately correct their mistakes. However, some students get rattled and easily nervous and prefer that I focus only on major corrections like when their English is really incomprehensible I am friendly and patient and I allow students time to express themselves in English. When students get lots for words and can't seem to continue expressing themselves, I provide them with useful expressions and vocabulary to keep the conversation rolling. I can also provide drills to students to help them master using "target grammar/structure? in natural conversation. I use drills, role plays, discussion topics for my lessons and if there is a need for visuals for beginner students, I also use them.
