My name is Michelle and I am a professional English teacher from the US. I offer engaging, English native-speaker, online lessons with creative content. I enjoy being a resource and thrive on challenges. I have been teaching English as a second language for more than 15 years. Furthermore, I am an accomplished instructor with extensive experience designing meaningful and effective coursework in several language markets. I have practical experience living and working abroad, and am proficient in French, Spanish, and Arabic. I am also currently studying Japanese and Korean. I typically provide remote listening and speaking training to students: preschoolers, elementary, junior high, high school, and adults. My students participate in activities designed to support their academic and professional language development. My aim for underage students is to develop more focus on school learning objectives and better classroom interaction skills through: -Learning grade-specific academic vocabulary -Understanding how to ask & answer questions -Making presentations and writing reports -Comfortably participating in classroom activities My methods help students become more confident communicators in English and perform better on assignments and exams. For university students and business professionals, I offer more bespoke development options, depending on their needs. My background is in law, economics, and political science. I have created a number of training manuals, inclusive of: Eiken/SAT/TOEFL/TOEIC, pharmaceutical industry/clinical trials, law enforcement, legal research, general medicine, and sales. I also offer a writing workshop designed to expand participants' gift for prose and write fiction from their own life experiences. The course objective is to craft epic tales of good fiction that slightly drift from "just the facts". I am patient and encouraging, recognizing that learning a new language can be stressful. We begin each lesson with a warm-up conversation of 5-10 minutes; we review the material for that session; we have a question/answer session with pronunciation practice for difficult words; then, we end with discussing the next lesson's objectives.
