Why OrangoJapan?

Why us....?

No renewal fees. Unlimited teacher contacts

Our system is simple. Make a single one off payment of 3000 Yen and then you can contact as many teachers as you want, for as long as you want. There is no limit on the number of teachers you can contact, and you can continue to contact and take lessons with teachers until you find a teacher who is perfect for you. And if you don't find a teacher you think is suitable for you, let us know within a month of joining and you will get a full refund.

Learn face to face or online with native teachers

Our teachers are based in Japan, most of them are here teaching in schools or studying in Japanese Universities. You can search for teachers living in your area, and arrange to have a face to face lesson. Face to face lessons will mean you'll be fully focused and engaged in the lesson and the teacher. It's the best way to learn.
Our teachers are mostly native teachers from around the world, so you'll be able to learn local expressions, and become familiar with local accents. Or, if you prefer, you can take lessons with Japanese teachers, teaching foreign languages to help explain things in Japanese. We also have non-native teachers, who can offer skilled lessons, but sometimes at a better rate than native teachers. The choice is yours.
However, if you prefer, we give our teachers the option of teaching online, so if you want to learn from home, you can take lessons with your teacher online over Skype. Whatever works best for you.

Rates are decided by the teacher

Other than a one-off membership payment when you join, OrangoJapan takes no money from students for lessons. The lesson rate is set by the teacher which means the money you pay for a lesson all goes to the teacher. This allows teachers to price competitively and means you aren't paying any more for your lesson than what the teacher thinks fair. Teachers are not guaranteed students by OrangoJapan so they'll try to offer you the best deal. Teacher profiles are filled with details about their professional careers and their teaching experience and some teachers offer free or discounted first lessons.
